I believe that we do only have the one life. I believe life is not like a video game where we can just hit the rest button and play again.
So it is a very serious question that should not be taken lightly. And in saying that, I believe it should be up to the individual only after all avenues have been exhausted, only after all physiologic aspects have been talked about. And if the individual truly understands the facts that they will never see another sun rise or a sun set, never have the opportunity to hold a new born baby, to hear the small waves crashing on the beach shore, to hear birds sing and that they truly understand that they will never experience sexaul feelings as well as all the other beautiful things in life that can be experienced, then yes, I believe it is the individuals choice as it is the individuals life, and not a communities life, it is not the communities choice, but it is also the people that are the closest to this individual that will be affected, so I believe a sit down with these people so a chat, an understanding by all should hopefully be reached.
And just remember, in the end, if an individual wishes to end their own life, there really isn't anything anyone can do to stop them. An individual can travel to the middle of the bush and jump off a cliff if need be, so the real question is, how should one die with dignity, alone or with the acceptance of those that love them, well hopefully with the acceptance of those that love them. For some, it still maybe to difficult to accept this individuals death and therapy would be required.

I can relate. I had my daughters at 40 and 43 and while I felt fine then and managed well, now they are 13 and 16 and I am 57. I see all my friends enjoying their grandchildren and then going home and enjoying their time coffee drinking, but I am working and spend most of my time driving them around and feel exhausted most days. I love my kids but really didn't think it through beyond the baby stage. I guess I thought I would still be the same physically, but I'm not.

Brilliant Content! Certainly people need to think about their futures and the quality of that future, do people really want to be retiring in their 70's? The digital age is upon us and those of us in our golden years are not limited by our options, if your teachable you can definitely create a whole new like that won't have your future looking so bleak!
