Rob Buckingham – Co-host

rob-buckingham-the-exchangeRob has over 30 years experience in radio and loves telling “corny” jokes.  He worked for 3MP for 15 years and hosted 3MP’s Rob Buckingham and Friends program each Sunday from 1993-1999. He interviewed guests such as Whitney Houston, Lionel Ritchie and as well as many well-known community figures.

In 1992, Rob pioneered a church in the Bayside suburb of Cheltenham, which he commenced with a small group of people. From humble beginnings the church has now grown to become large and influential in the city of Melbourne with campuses in Cheltenham and Frankston.

A passionate and fiery Irish woman caught Rob’s eye and in 1994 he married Christie. Together they have been an unbreakable team and share the passion for media and connecting with people and their stories.  They work alongside orphanages in Africa and Thailand, as well as support Zambia’s third university “Northrise”.

 

Christie Buckingham – Co-host

christie-buckingham-the-exchangeChristie Buckingham is a woman who does not do things by halves.

Christie came to Australia from Ireland in 1986 and worked with Melbourne’s biggest youth groups.

She is a now sought after motivational speaker and travels around Australia and internationally.  She has a passion to help people reach their potential.

Christie loves creativity and infuses this in everything she does.

She understands the pressures of juggling being a mother to three growing girls, a minister of a thriving dynamic church and a renowned speaker.

 

Sandra Cavallo – Reporter

sandra-cavallo-the-exchangeSandra is the daughter of two fiery Sicilians and therefore has a knack for speaking with her hands. Sandra’s background is marketing communications and PR.  She has worked for some of Melbourne’s top events such as Melbourne Food & Wine Festival and Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show, not to mention also Melbourne Aquarium and Chelsea Flower Show.

She loves to travel and experience the rich diversity of cultures.
